What Home Means to Me

Home is some where you can be yourself and have fun with friends and family. You can do things like game night or hangout outside. You can create memories good and bad. Home is where you can be warm and comfortable and do stuff you would just do with family. I love going on hikes with my father and taking cool pictures and having a fun time with him. I love him so much, and he makes a lovely home for us. A house is just wood, brick, and drywall. But a home is a place to be loved and cared for. Home is a special place in our lives, it makes us feel safe and is a place to do the stuff you love. Sometimes things are good and sometimes things can be rough but, in our home, we work together to make more good times. One of my homes is with my mom. She buys me clothes and things I need. She is a great mom in general. I love her the most. I have a brother at this home. He is a good brother and sometimes plays games with me and makes me laugh. My favorite thing about mom’s house is that it is close to my friends’ houses so that we can play together. My other home is with my dad, he gets lots of fruits and vegetables for me to eat. He is the best. At dad’s house we like to play video games together and go skating. Next year will be great because I will live close to my new school and not have to wake up so early. I feel lucky to have two homes that I love. Everyone deserves a nice warm home to feel safe and loved in.
