Home

For me home isn’t just about your house it's about many different things. I don’t just have one home, I have many. Friends are one of my homes. They are people I can be myself around and they will always be there for me. Hockey is another one of my homes. When I step on the ice all my problems go away. My mind is clear and a big part of it is my teammates. Nature is another one of my homes stepping outside. I love the smell of the air and the birds chirping. I can be free when I am with nature, the trees and plants blowing in the wind. My dogs are another one of my homes. I can feel safe when I'm with them cuddling them and petting them relieves my stress. School is another one of my homes. Seeing my friends, my teachers even seeing my old teachers brings back memories of them teaching me and I am so grateful for them. Last but not least my family is another one of my homes. They make me feel loved and they take care of me. They have a roof for me to sleep under, they have food on the table, and they have running water and electricity. Being with them makes me feel like my heart just had a hot chocolate. I love them and I am so grateful. I just wish everyone had a roof over their head and food on the table and I want to thank habitat for humanity to make that happen for more people.
