Home is like a Flower

Home is like your safe space where you can relax with a roof above your head safe and protected. Sitting at the dinner table getting ready to eat. The prayer we say giving thanks for the food we have in front of us but not just the food our home as well because without it, this food would not be here. The sound of everybody saying amen. The thoughts in my head of how grateful I am that I even have a home. If you think about it a home is kind of like a flower, you place it where you want to have memories, you water it with love, safety and care every day of every year till it blossoms into a place you can call home. A place that you can call home and others can call a house. Movie nights and ice cream on my lips. Coming back from a trip, walking in with your family and knowing that you’re safe in your home. Feeling the true home sweet home.
