A home is a home no matter how small

One of the biggest stereotypes about home is that it's a white house with a picket fence but that is not the case for me. My home is a three story house with a black fence in the back. One of the other stereotypes is the residents of the house. A lot of people think of it as a mom,dad,older brother and a younger sibling and a dog and that is true for me but might not be for others. You can't have a home without safety because a home without safety is like a hot dog with no bun. you need both types of safety. physical and emotional safety for it to be a house. physical safety is you don't have to worry about someone hurting you.but it also gives you food and warmth.but you also need emotional safety which means you don’t need to hide your emotion and you can feel safe and my house is that place. To me safety is not the lock key more of a feeling than the lock and key. Safety is not a roof overhead well in some cases it is but not in my case. To me safety looks like me and my family all just laughing and having a good time and we are all feeling safe. What I am trying to say is I don't feel safe if my family does not feel safe. If you have both types of safety, you will probably realize that your home is where love will grow. But if you think like me this is a different way to think about it . Physical safety + emotional safety = home, home + time = love. Time is like when i moved from my old house to the house that I live in now it took a while to get used to it but now it is my home. -cohen
