HOME

A house is made with bricks and stone, But a home is built with love and understanding. Home is a safe place to openly discuss feelings and thoughts, where nobody will make you feel like your feelings are invalid or don't matter. Home is a place where you can be yourself and express yourself in many different ways. Just like most things, a home can grow overtime and become stronger. However, with hatred a home can be stamped out and can no longer be considered a safe home. Home is a soft, warm feeling of kindness, appreciation, and love. Home doesn't have to be your family. Home can be friends or a community too. Home should never, ever be something that puts you in a bad environment or even exposes you to danger. Home is a safe place. Home is full of laughter and jokes, having fun and playing games with people you love most. Home is shelter and security around you. Whether it is a person that gives you that safe feeling or a building that gives you that safe feeling. Home can mean different things for everyone, but no matter what your definition of home is, there is one thing all homes have in common, kindness and comfort. Everyone deserves somewhere to call home. I'm so happy that Habitat for Humanity is giving people housing so that they can feel safe and sheltered throughout the tough times that they may be having.
