House and Home

A house is a building where people live made of brick, concrete, and shingles, but a home is much more… a home is made of love, family, and friendship. Home is a place where you feel safe and loved. Home is the feeling of the warmth of a warm fire on a cold night. Home is the sound of your family not far away. Home is the taste of your favorite baked goods piping hot. To me, home is at my house, because I have a warm, safe house to call home and I am very lucky to have that. but many people (too many) don’t have a house to call home. Many people have a tent as a home or a camper or their car. Many people are cold at night and hungry all day. We need to help these people have a place to be safe and warm, with not just full belly’s but also full hearts. That is the true meaning of home and everyone deserves to feel that way.
