Habitat for Humanity Senses

You might not know how lucky you are, you might not know that other people are less fortunate than you are. If sight were home for me I would see my dog coming to greet me at the door. I would see my mom waiting to give me a great big hug. If smell were home I would smell a warm cat laying in the stolen dog bed heating up in the sun. I would smell wet dog that just came back from the lake two blocks away. If feel was home I would feel the comfort of my dog barking at anything and everything. I would feel the everlasting summer breeze brushing on my shoulders. If taste were home I would taste freshly baked cinnamon buns trickling down your throat. I would taste mashed potatoes that are whipped to perfection and when you take a bite you feel the buttery mashed potatoes dissolve and melt in your mouth and I just feel like the world goes quiet. If sound were home I would listen to the gentle purring of my cat while I stroked her impeccably soft fur, I would also listen to my fish tank late at night, the filter and the heater give off a very mind relaxing buzz and hum. I love my home. I just really hope that everyone can feel how I feel about my home, not house.
