The Meaning of Home

To me home is where my family is. I live with my mom, dad and my sisters Kaeleigh and Maisie. Our home is in the country, and we love to play outside. I made some good memories and some bad memories at my house. Some of my favorite memories are building things with my dad. We have built a desk, and a tree house and I helped build an addition on our home. We built the addition to make more room for the whole family because we had a baby named Maisie. Another good memory about my home is my room. When my mom was pregnant, my dad and my two grandpas built my room, then my mom decorated my room and my grandma made me curtains and a blanket. I really liked my 1st room, but it was a little small, so when my older sister moved to the basement, I took over her old room. I got to choose the paint colours and decorate my new room. We painted my room blue and red. I chose a nautical theme, we built a rope desk, hung a cargo net, an anchor clock and some sailing paintings. We also put up colour changing LED lights. I really like my new room. My one bad memory in my home is when I broke my arm. I was really excited because we were going on a trip the next morning to Punta Cana, and I was jumping from couch to couch and then I fell off the couch and broke my arm. Then we had to cancel our trip to Punta Cana. In my home I feel safe because when I get scared they make sure I'm ok. My mom and dad makes me food for breakfast and dinner. They also make sure I have enough in my lunch. They make sure I'm warm. My family means so much to me. That’s the meaning of home to me.
