Home is where the heart is

A house is somewhere you’re still getting used to when you’re living there. A house means takeout dinner and late work every night. A house means creaky stairs and squeaky doors when you walk down the halls. A house is a little old bed that seems to want to break. Some people don’t have a house, sleeping out under the stars. Some people put on shows while others think it's funny. Some people beg and beg for food to support their families daily. HOME Home is where I can go when I’m feeling a little less cheery. Home is where I can embrace the hugs, I get every morning. Home is where I can sit by the fire, looking up at the sky. Home is where the fun begins, each and every morning. Home is where I can feel safe while sleeping under the stars. Home is where the heart is, and I’ll always have a part. Home is where I can enjoy my favorite treats and dishes. Home is where I can enjoy my family spending time together. Home is where the joy and love lives and I’ll always enjoy that. I hope you enjoyed this poem and I thank you for the hard work you have shown helping others :)
