The Heart Behind Home
Over the years the definition of home has changed for me. I struggle with anxiety, and as I have battled it, my physical home has begun to mean more to me. Home is more than just a building, it is a place where you can do what you love, and be you.
Being a child of a soldier has made me feel like I am home wherever my family is, and that is true, but we all need a place to call home. A place where we can eat meals together, have friends over, watch movies, and be warm and safe with the people we love. I find that I often take home for granted, and it is those little moments that remind me to be thankful for my home.
I want everyone to have a place to call home, a place where they can be sheltered and enjoy precious time with their family. The joy of home deserves to be shared, and I want to be a part of spreading that joy. I am glad that God gives us the opportunity to help people who may need it, and am thankful for the important work that Habitat for Humanity does.
