What A Home means To Me

A home is somewhere you sleep, eat, and do many more things. When I get home from school, I hear my baby sister scream “Chloe, your home!” I can also hear my cats meowing when I get down the stairs to my room. I can hear my mom on the phone with my dad and I can hear my other sister training the dog. It makes me feel safe to hear everyone’s joy. When I wake up, the first thing is seen is my cat’s big hairy butt on my face and I kick my cat off my face, and he moves to my lap, and I see both of my cats laying on my lap. Across the hall, I see my dad yawn and get out of bed and then I see my mom still sleeping. I go upstairs and see my dad getting some coffee, and I see my sister getting some breakfast and then I turn, and I see my brother playing. I turn again and I see one of my cats coming up the stairs and I see my baby sister chasing the cat up and down the hallway. I go to the kitchen and see the temperature on the family tablet and spy a bagel and butter beside the toaster. I grabbed my headphones and hear the bus coming. Then I dart out the door. When I first wake up, I taste my cat’s fur on my face, and it is gross that I can taste cat fur. A much better taste are the waffles I have for breakfast. When I get home from school, I taste the fresh bread that’s for dinner. My home is full of so many smells, that sometimes I cannot take it all in. When I wake up in the morning, I smell cat litter, then I smell cat hair, and I smell toast in the toaster oven. I smell my waffles in the waffle maker and goldfish when I take it out of the bag to put in my lunch. In the morning I feel the cold wood floor when I get out of bed. I feel my cat rubbing her head on my feet. I feel the railing as I go up the stairs. The best feeling though is my baby sister hugging me when I get up the stairs. I feel a waffle in my hand putting it in the toaster oven and I feel the fork and knife in my hands just before I’m out the door to go to school. My home means a lot to me, I cannot think of a better place to be!
