What home means to me

Once upon a time, there is a wealthy king who lived on a hill. His house is where all his trinkets, achievements, treasures, and artifacts lie. His house is his palace, his temple, his mansion. The fellow eats with golden cutlery, and a dining hall a mile in length. The rich man owns rings made with diamond, jade, silver, and every other mineral in the Earth. The prosperous man has everything anyone could ever desire with money, and could purchase anything in the universe. But upon all the things he owns, his house, is not his home, and he isn’t fulfilled with what he possesses. If you flow with the river on this king’s hill, it flows into a poor small village, being the only water source for the citizens. In the poor town, there is a poor man, who lives with his family. He cannot purchase all the things that he desires, and doesn’t have enough money to buy the necessities. He is a poor fellow who is barely surviving with left-overs. Even with all these problems, he is more joyful than the rich and prosperous king, because he lives with his family. Everyday, he wakes up to see his children playing outside, and his spouse preparing a delicious breakfast for the man. He always sees his parents doing their job and his grandparents enjoying the life in the poor little village. Even with all these problems, his house, is his home, and he is glad to spend his life there. Just like us, we don’t need to have all the furniture and beautiful things to call a house, a home. A house is the place where you might eat, work, sleep, and live; a home is a place where you love, meet, thank, and live with the people you love. Everyone should be grateful for the family and friends they have in their home.
