The Meaning of Home

A house is walls and beams, a home is love and dreams. That quote hangs in my grandma and grandpa’s house. It truly speaks to me about what a “home” really is. A home doesn't need to be where you live. It can be anywhere you feel cared for or loved. Not only that, but a home is where you feel safe and comfortable. A home is a place to relax and clear your mind. It also allows you to speak freely and let go of all the busyness or anxiety. A home is filled with the people you love. Your family, friends or pets. Without my family I would be lost, they always help me whenever I need it. They are always there for me and they push me to my limits to be great. They make my life a better place, and without my home I wouldn’t feel the same. I feel so bad for the people that don’t have that feeling of love and safety. We really don’t appreciate our homes as much as we should. They give us things that don’t even cross our minds. I am just so thankful for my home. A home is more than you think, and if you have one be grateful for it. It is more than a place to sleep.
