What Home Means to Me

What Home Means To Me by Yousef El Mabrouk Home is where I am safe, comfortable and loved, it’s the place where I can be myself. Home is where I can relax and be myself after a long day. Home is where my family and I create memories together. It’s a place where I grew up, and where I belong and be free and happy. Home is also where I find peace. Home is not just a house with walls that’s called a “Place”, It’s a feeling that’s hard to describe, but easy to understand and find when you’re finally at home. For me, home is not just a place, it's a feeling of recharging and relaxing. It's a feeling that I carry with me wherever I go, and it's something that I am grateful to have. Some say it can be a place made out of wood and bricks, such as a house or apartment, or it can feel comfortable and provide privacy like a place or community, like a home. My home is the smell of Garlic Bread fresh out of the oven, and my friends, family, and community supporting me and each other. Home is a big deal to me, It gives me something that I can never find anywhere else like safety and comfort. Home is somewhere I can be my true energetic self without being judged. It is where I could take a break from school and work, and relax with friends and family and be myself around them. I am very grateful for the home I have to Sleep, Laugh, And have fun.
