Home

Home is your room. I am guessing that everyone feels at ease in your room. Home delivers feelings and emotions. Not only shelter can be your home. It can be your room, your garden, your neighbors, the community, and friendly workers on the street. It feels great to walk by the ice cream store and wave hi to the friendly ice cream worker, and his face lights up like a blossom and waves back in glee. A small thing you do can make people feel at home, and they would do the same thing back to you. Over and over, and over. Eventually, people become your friend. Your heart becomes bigger and bigger as you meet new people! To me, people are my home. They embrace me tightly whenever I feel down, they help me stand back up. Home is not made of bricks; it is not made of luxury walls and cool chandeliers. It is made up of family and friends. It is where they support you. It is someone you can rely on. Mom’s cooking, my brother’s annoying personality, my dad’s cool coding stuff, these are some of the best things that make me feel at home. To all the places I have been: Korea, Cebu, Hawaii, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Seattle, Victoria, Alberta, Burnaby. Some were for only a short while, but it was still home to me. Home is where I learn new things and traditions or even make new friends. I do miss some of my friends, houses, and old teachers, but this is normal, and I have many great memories to cherish.
