A house, A home

A home is made, created, born. A house is 4 walls, And wallpaper torn. A home is where, You don’t feel betrayed. A house is a thing, that you can trade. A home is where you feel safe, While you sleep, And if you are sad, Where you can weep. A house is a place, That can feel cold, And if you want to sell it, Can be sold They both start with an h, And end with an e But they both feel so different, At least to me. For a house is a shelter, An object, a place. A home is together, No matter your race. A home is light, So I feel, I could take flight. A house is heavy, And sometimes dark. And ever so silent, I could hear the call of a lark. A home is meals, Prepared with care, Made for the family, To enjoy and share. A house is just a big block of matter, And wall so fragile, That they could shatter.
