My home in the five senses

A house is a place made of bricks, wood, and beams, but a home is made out of hope, love, joy, and dreams. In a house or a home the five senses are the same, but the difference is the feeling and I’ll describe them by name. Building a house I can touch the cold hard nailhead, but at home I can touch the soft warm blankets on my bed. Building a house I can smell the empty dusty bookcase, but at home I smell the smoke from the wood fireplace. Building a house I can see a dark brown roof above, but at home I can see a loving family built out of hope, joy, dreams, laughter, faith, and love. Building a house I can taste the salty summer breeze, but at home I can taste my dads fresh out of the oven mac and cheese. Building a house I can hear the tools of the hardworking folks, but at home I can hear laughter and hilarious jokes. A house is just a building, a roof and four walls, but a home is the place where you get picked up when you stumble and fall. A house has no emotions and that’s bizarre, but a home is where all the emotions are.
