The Meaning of Home

Home to me is where I can be myself and no-one can judge. Home is where nice warm meals heat up in the oven while my family and I play a game. Home is where I smell cookies in the oven warming up as I sit by the heater feeling the warmth it gives me. Home is where families love and care for each other, where everyone can feel safe in their home with safe walls and a roof. Home to me is full of screams and laughter and Friday movie night. Home is full of love, care, trust, and safety. Home is where we cook pancakes with each other. Home is where we cuddle up in a blanket by the fire and warm up. A house seems black and white but a home has rainbow colors, A house has no love but a home does have love, A house has nothing in it but a home has everything - love, care, and a family. But sometimes my home is not where I live. It's where my family and friends and pets are and where I feel safe. Home is something that I believe everyone should experience no matter what age they are. Everyone should have a home and feel the safety in it. I would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for helping provide homes for those who need them.
