Beauties of Home

Your house should be a place where you shouldn't feel embarrassed about your feelings. It is a place where you should be looking forward to going after school. Home should be your safe space where you feel comfortable and a sense of belonging. My house should feel like a nice hot afternoon in summer when you sit in your backyard licking ice cream or a freezie. It should feel like when you get back from minus forty weather and your mom made you hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows. It should feel like getting home from sledding and you take off your coat, snow pants, boots, gloves and wrap up in a warm blanket on your couch next to your fire watching tv. It should feel like freshly baked cookies when the chocolate chips are still hot and melty. Home should be a place where you and your family cheer on your favorite sports team with popcorn and snacks. A home should feel like going camping with your friends and family and getting really muddy. Home should feel like a snowball fight with your friends. It should feel like flying somewhere nice and beautiful. That's what home means to me.
