Home

Home is something I think EVERYONE should have. I know if I didn't have it I wouldn't be the same. Home is one of those things that you can tell if you have or not. Your home doesn't just have to be your house, it could be at your grandparents' house, or even your country, or city. When you feel at home, it means you feel safe. When you bike to school you feel secure. You feel cared for when you're sick. You can share laughter over a joke or even over sarcasm. You have the sensation of family and friends being there for you when you've had a bad day. My home is Kamloops. That is where my family and friends are to keep me company, I feel secure and protected if something bad ever happened, I have the awareness that people notice me for being me. And that is just a couple of reasons why it is the place I will always love. When I go on road trips I always feel like I'm connected to a rope that is always tugging me home, back to Kamloops. If there was one thing I love more than my friends and family, (and of course food) it would be my home. The sweet taste of the spring air, the satisfying crunch of the white, crisp, winter snow, the beautiful sight of the spectacular green mountains in the hot, cheerful summer, and of course the jaw-dropping view of the marvelous orange fiery leaves falling onto the grass. I could never feel more at home anywhere else.
