The Meaning of HOme

Home means a safe place for you to share, for you to live or to be yourself. When I feel at home, I feel safe and loved. I feel kindness in everyone around me. I hear happy laughter and the purring of my cats as they sleep peacefully curled up on the couch. Popping comes from the kitchen as my mom makes warm buttery popcorn, as a movie plays on the television. I sit calmly with my family holding a warm cup of hot chocolate and some fresh cookies. I slide into my blanket. I feel a wave of warmth wash over me as I am whisked away into an amazing dream.
