House or Home

Picture this, you are a homeless man walking on the street and you see an empty house. You decide to stay there for the night. Is this a house or a home? Now imagine a different situation, a man forced you to go to that same house and you reluctantly agree. Is this a house or a home. The answers are home and house respectively. But why? In both situations you go to the same place, everything is the same, so why is one home and one house? How did you feel on both nights. The first one, you probably felt more comfortable since you finally had shelter and a roof over your head.But on the other hand, on the second night you would have felt scared since maybe the man had trapped the house or something. So in conclusion, home is a place where dark becomes light, and sad becomes happy.
