Snow Day At Home

When you look upon my street, you will see a tall red and white house with a maple tree. A swing that sways in different ways while the flowers bloom and grow, you can still find the rocks that we painted many years ago. The birds still tweet and the wind still blows and our house stays strong and grows. Walk inside you see a table, black and brown oh so stable. It still creaks when you sit down, eat some stew mom made all day round. The red glitter still shines bright from the Valentine’s Day cards that I made late at night. Go downstairs-THE FLOOR IS LAVA!! Jump on the couch hear it squeak jump on the ground it still creaks. Then we hear it’s time to go! We put on our snowsuits to head out in the snow, grab the tin cans and out we go! We’re making snow cakes and snow spaghetti and the neighbours yell, CAPTURE THE FLAG WHO’S READY?! We all run around we get very cold, we are so lucky to have somewhere warm to go. Then mom says hot coco!! We rush inside and guzzle it down, now it’s time to settle around. We all go to sleep after we read our stories, tuck in bed the blankets are so warm and cozy. I lay in bed and I hear a ding. Our house is 110 years old so there are some ghosts, he still plays a high key tone on the piano. Listen carefully here his footsteps and see his shadows. Go to sleep and dreaming of meadows. Wake up for another morning of fun. Because it is a snow day once again. You know realize that this is a home like none
