The Meaning of Home

What home means to me! What does a “HOME” mean? To me, a home means a place where you feel comfortable, safe,relaxed,you have memories that you can share with people in your life that you love. You can live alone or with a big family in a house that is big/ small, regardless,it is a place you let go of your worries. Everyone deserves a home! I lived in New York for 2 years, I saw many people living on the street,it was very unsettling. One time I was walking with my mom on Christmas Eve, I saw a man sitting in the cold with a broken arm, homeless.seeing him broke my heart because he was probably homeless because he couldn't afford health care and he had to spend christmas alone. The reason home is special to me: The reason a home is so important to me because I was born in Syria in 2010,just before the terrible war started. My family had to evacuate due to the war. People were losing their homes.My mom had to stay for 4 months because of her work so we were separated from her for a long time. Many years after when we lived in Canada, my mom was the president of a project called “The Bay Refugee Project” ,where a group of people helped families from Syria move to Canada, start all over make a new home for themselves.
