What Home Means to Me

What is home? You will know soon. Here is the meaning of home. Here is the difference between a house and a home. This is the meaning of home. A house is a building you live in. A home is where I feel comfortable and know my surroundings. It’s a place where I feel safe. It’s a place where I come home to after school or work. My house is a place where you may not feel safe. Other people's houses are just like hotels, different and unfamiliar. When I feel safe and comfortable, I know I’m in my home. A house could be the place across the street. A house can be your neighbor. It could be the place your friend or relative lives. A home is where you live. Home is where I sleep, eat and live. It’s where I see my family everyday. My home is a place that might not mean anything to you, but means a lot to me. A home means something to you. But maybe not to me. That is the meaning of home. Now you know the difference between a home and house, and what home means to me.
