Meaning of Home

In this essay you will see, what is a home, how can it feel like a house, and what do I call home. Also, what a home is to some, the differences between a home and a house, and how I feel when I am at home. What is a home? A home is a place you can feel safe and welcome. It feels familiar, like you know it. A place you are appreciated and comforted. You see your family every day. You know, it seems familiar. Not only that, but you feel free to do things. That is what a home is to some. How can it feel like a house? It can feel like a house when you do not know it. You feel confused and not comfortable. You may not see your family or friends. Also, you may not feel safe or appreciated. You may not feel free to do things. That is how it can feel like a house. What do I call home? I call home where I smell familiar smells. I know my surroundings well. Furthermore, I feel calm, I feel safe and comfy. There is always someone there for me to comfort me when I’m sad. I also feel free to do things. That's what I call home. That is what the meaning of home is to me. A house is a home and a home is a house that is a house to someone. But to someone a place you call home, they could call it a house to them. A home is a place you feel safe. A house is a place they may not feel safe. There is always someone there to comfort me when I’m down.
