My Beautiful Home
A place I should be able to run to,
At this place I should feel safe.
Me and my family try to stay true,
I try not to be a basket case.
But as a human I can only try,
The sun starts washing on me suddenly,
Oh sweet bird, you continue to fly,
For may one day, you’ll hopefully be free.
My mother walks around, father too.
They keep smiles along their faces.
I never want to go somewhere new,
In the world there are so many places.
I’ve been here for so very long.
Because home is where I belong.
