Turning a HOUSE into a HOME

Houses are made, Of wood and brick. Up on the roof, Slate does stick. Everything there, Short only of care! What is a house? A house is, in short, a place built for living. It is generally built of bricks, wood, or concrete. But what a house does not include, by default, is a resident. There probably is at least one house in your neighbourhood that is empty and has a “For Sale” sign outside of it. The fact that it is empty does not make it stop being a house. Homes are made, Of kindness and care. Making love grow, Everywhere! What is a home? Now that we know what a house is, what changes a house into a home? A home is not just a house where someone lives; it is much more than that. If a house is just a place to get some sleep, and that is all you do there, it is not a home. A home is a place where you can let down your guard and be yourself. Family who see you at home might, and probably will, get a very different picture of who you are from a colleague at work. Often times (though not always - a home does not require family), a home is also a place where you feel loved and trusted. A home is a place where you feel cared for and you can share your feelings. Home is the place where you show who you truly are.
