A place called home
There is a place I like to call home
Were the food is tasty and sweet,
Where no one is thirsty or hungry
and where the rooms are cozy and neat.
The love that flows in the air
Is filled with laughter and surprise,
And where the water is blue like the sky
Were the fire is burning brightly
The table is shiny and modern,
the couch is soft but old,
Memories stain the walls
And the carpets are new and rolled.
The aroma of protection floats around the room
as your family comes through the door.
Family makes life interesting,
and let your mind explore.
Hot showers are a blessing
as the water hits your back,
Relax and take a deep breath
Make sure to pierce through the dark.
Home is cozy, family and food
with a side of love,
remember what it means
And pray to god above.
