The Meaning of Homes

THE MEANING OF HOMES Some people think of a house as just a place that you live in. In reality, homes are much more than that. They are more about feelings. Your home may be old, new, big, or small. You may live in an apartment. But, it’s not about what your house looks like, it’s about what’s inside. It’s about who’s inside. It could be a wonderful house but have terrible people living there. I live in a duplex with 6 other people. Even though sometimes it feels crowded, I feel very grateful about my house and my family. Inside my house, it is very colourful, cozy, and a little messy. People should feel safe to be themselves at home. Home is where you can feel safe and secure. Homes are for playing, laughing, learning, being with your family, love, hope and whatever you do. Home is not made for mistakes. It is made for learning from mistakes. Homes are made for shelter and comfort when life is hard on you. Nobody will judge you at your house. Life is full of changes, and as we journey through our life, our homes may change. But we will never forget the memories we made. We watch each other fall down, and we always help each other back up. Every single person and pet should have a home. That is the main reason I wrote this. I want everyone to have a home. Not just people who can afford them. People have a spot in their heart’s that’s reserved for their home. Remember, your home is in you. No one can break you in the walls of your house. I will always hope that people who can’t afford a shelter will get one. I’m lucky I have a home like mine.
