Meaning of Home

A home is generally a place where people and their families live. To me brick and mortar is just the building, the people I love are the thing I need most. The meaning of home to me is warmth, family, and love. It can be the warmth that makes home, home. Warmth to me is, having my parents say goodnight and tucking me into bed. Warmth is also, knowing that I am safe at night, that I will wake up for breakfast and come home to a nice dinner. Warmth is related to the feeling of home in a way that the people I love are with me. Family is love and the moments that we make together, make me feel at home. The moments that we make together make me feel at home because we can have each other and do things together, enjoy ourselves and be people. Love to me is having parents that put clothes on my back, food on my plate, and a roof over my head. Those things may be small (to some people) but that is what people need, somebody to care for them and love is what my parents give me. Love is hugs and kisses from my mom and dad. They make me feel at home in a place of security and humanity. Having a home is a gift and not all people have a home. It is hard on kids who are living without the security of a home. All people need are simple things like home and food and love. Certain people can't support their family while paying rent but Habitat for Humanity is helping people have a home plus feel safe at an affordable price.
