I am Home

I was once a piece of land, lonely and sad, Then people came, Warm and nice to warm the cold dark nights, They may have been different, Yet all had the same goal, To build a place where people shall shelter in the dark cold Days of life, Now brick by brick I grow, Once a brick, Then a wall, Until finally I was a place a shelter but most importantly I was a home I was a big strong home,a home were no winds or storms could blow me away But I had an emptiness inside me, I longed for family I questioned myself, was I really a home without a family to care for, I asked this question to myself every day and night Until finally they came They came in together They decided that yes this is the place This is the place we shall call home Then at that moment I knew yes I knew me, home Was not a place For a home FAMILY
