Meaning of Home

To me the meaning of home is safety, warmth, inclusiveness, fun, family, and love. If you’ve had a bad day or something went wrong you can go home and feel safe. When I had a bad day at school and I came home and hugged my mom and all the bad feelings just washed away. The warmth and love is because it’s a happy loving environment. Yes, we have fights sometimes but we always work it out. Another way my home is a loving environment is if I’m having a bad day or having trouble with work, there is always someone there to help me. We are inclusive because we always try to include the whole family and if my brother and I have friends over we all try to play together. We also invite some of our friends to our cottage sometimes and when we are at our cottage we play with the neighbors. We have lots of fun in the summer. We invite friends and family over to play and in the winter we play lots of board games. We also make a hill in our backyard to go sledding in the winter. Home reminds me of my family, my mom, dad, brother, and me. We always love each other on the good days and the bad days. That's what home means to me.
