My Home

Have you ever thought about not having a home to go home to? living with my mom who is a nurse and my five year old brother I have experienced not having a safe or affordable home. I lived in a two bedroom apartment with my brother, mom and SIX pets. Mold filled the rooms and smelled like garbage . We were worried because the mold was getting out of hand so We stayed at my mom's friends houses a lot and after all the bills we would normally have 18 DOLLARS left to live through the rest of the month. Luckily we just moved into a new place about a week ago.The nice new smell that is fresh smells so much better than mold . We finally got a kitten. In the old house we couldn't because it was not safe for a kitten because of the mold. Now I'm gonna tell you what home is like for me. The soft, soothing sound of my puring kittens is the sound of home to me,the smell of Oatmeal (my brothers favorite) food in the morning, the feeling on my fingers in the morning of my cat Murle, i see my led lights getting brighter and brighter (that's how my brother wakes me up in the morning)that is home for me. Anyway, enough about me. I think Habitat for Humanity is a very good foundation and fundraiser and I love that kids can participate in helping raise money.
