Home vs Homeless

If you have a home you are lucky. Many people don’t have homes. They can get sad but if I were one of them I would be grateful. I don’t need a home all I need is a family who cares about me who is willing to do anything for me. This is not based on reality. -Samantha Hello, my name is Marabeth. I have lived all my life in a home with a loving family and friends who care about me. But sometimes I see people on the streets and wonder what happened. Why are they on the streets? I realize now it’s because they don’t have a home. But what if one day that all changed… Seven years ago I was a happy rich teenager. I had a home and everything, but I had a home too big to fit just me. Whenever I went to the shop I always gave the people on the streets ten dollars but I had too much money and I had nothing to spend it on. So why not go for a shopping spree you ask? Because I wanted to donate it to a local charity. I would rather share the money than keep it all to myself. My home meant everything to me. So I decided to do something bigger than ten dollars. So I gathered up the whole town and together we built and furnished two hundred and fourteen houses, and donated them to everyone who did not have a home so they could also know what it feels like to have a home. I hope they will make memories and one day do the same thing I did. -Marabeth I want everyone to always come back to their home everyday. -Samantha
