The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home can mean a lot of things for people in the world. For me home means going to a safe place with people I love and people who care about me. It's a place where friends can come to play or have a crazy sleepover! It can mean having a sibling to play with if you have one, but for me it's midnight wrestling matches. When I'm hungry, I can just walk right into my kitchen with millions of food options. People might hate the home they have right now, but they don't know how lucky they are to have a safe, warm place to go. Pretend it's a very chilly day out and you are playing outside. You get cold, you can go inside to a nice, warm house to make a warm cup of hot cocoa. When I'm feeling grumpy or angry I know my family is there no matter what. I know I can go to them to get love and support. If I'm ever feeling yucky or maybe a bit grumpy my family and friends are there who care. Home can mean a lot of things like happiness and craziness or even sadness. But you can always count on the people you live with. Even if you live alone you can still feel the warmth and love no matter what home you live in. It might be awkward when you are at someone else's house but when you get home you can feel the weight come off your shoulders and a sigh of relief from all the stress. What I know for sure is that my home is where I belong, and that's what home means to me.
