The Meaning Of Home

When I think of Home I usually think of 5 words. Safe, happiness, protected, and true. I think of the word true because when you’re at home alone or with your family you can really be your true self. You don’t have to worry about what other people think. Think about your five senses. When you hear the word “Home''. For me, I smell home-baked goods like cookies or bread. Baking has always made me feel safe, happy, and at home. I feel the blanket thrown over my head Keeping me warm through the night I see family, friends, and loved ones supporting me I hear kids laughing, and forgetting all the hard things the world has given us, trying to escape reality The word ‘Home’ has a big meaning. It can mean something different to everyone. Some people think it's a building but they couldn’t be farther from the truth. There is a difference between a house and a home. A house is a building in which people live. But a home is more of a feeling. A feeling that you are safe, loved, and appreciated. A feeling of family around you. A feeling that in this place no one will judge. It's a place where hopes and dreams are made! Some people don't have buildings as houses, they have a home. Where ever they may be is home. If they feel loved and ok. If they feel like their loved and are maybe with family, and they feel like this is where God put them for the time being, it is home. And just know God has an amazing plan for you. Just trust in him And even though my address may change throughout my life where ever I am. It is home.
