Some people may think home is a building or place but for me it’s more than that. It’s building memories, spending time with family and feeling safe. Sometimes my family and I will watch a movie, eat chips and drink pop on Saturday. We will play board games like Risk and Pandemic. The last thing I love doing with my family is cooking and baking. We love making cupcakes with icing. Another thing that makes me feel at home is driving up to Nova Scotia. We would have so many snacks. It's fun but it's also not fun because we are stuck in a car for 19 hours. The second amazing memory is when I go fishing on a boat with my grandparents and we catch a lot of fish. Then my grandma cooks the fish that we catch. The third memory that I love is when me and my family went mini golfing. I would never get a hole in one but everybody else would. The first thing that makes me feel safe is when I go under my warm blankets when I'm going to bed. Another thing that makes me feel safe is when I go to the park with my friends and we play grounders and tag. The last thing that makes me feel safe and at home is when I play hockey with my friends and team. I hope I can win this not for me but for habitat for humanity so people can have the same experience as me. Feeling safe, making memories and having fun with their family.
