A House is Nothing Without a Home

Home, a word some people say is the same as a house, but that’s wrong. A home is what makes a house special, otherwise the house is nothing without the home. The difference is a house is the place where I live, but my home is where there are people who bring laughter, love, respect, and make me feel safe. At home there’s always sounds of laughter and cries of joy. When I’ve had a bad day, my family always tries to find a way to make me laugh. When I play games with my family we alway have fun because we joke around and we enjoy each other’s company. When my whole family comes into my home, then it becomes the time when there are always the sounds of joy and it’s hard to imagine my home without laughter. At home I am surrounded by people who love, respect and forgive me even when I make a mistake or break the rules. My family always shows their love every day through hugs and kisses. At home I feel safe and protected because I can talk to my parents about things that are bothering me. At home I always feel safe to be myself because I know my family will accept me for me. My house is a place, but my home is love, laughter, and where I can feel safe. This is what the word home really means, it’s not the same thing as a house, it’s different. A home is special to a lot of people and it’s important that everyone has a home. If It's a place full of laughter, love, and where anyone can feel safe that means it is a special place for everyone, in our hearts. A house is nothing without a home.
