What home means to me

Home is different than a house. A home is where there is love and warmth. A home is where you make memories, and they stick no matter how many times your address changes. A home is where you can be yourself and not even know it. Home is where there is love and happiness everywhere. The least valuable things can mean the most. Your home can look or smell bad but when it’s home it doesn’t matter because that’s where love grows, and memories are made. Home means feeling loved and safe with your family. The things you go through might be scary or hard but when you are with your family in your home it makes it all better. A home is where you can be happy and be loved, but when it’s a house and not a home it’s not the same. A house is where you can do chores for money but in a home, you can sit on the couch and eat food and watch a movie while feeling loved. At Christmas in a house, you run downstairs to open presents but, in a home, you run down the stairs just to see your family and hug them. In a home you can express all your feelings and talk about anything and not feel judged. Home is where love never stops growing. Home is where love always has your back and never leaves your side. Therefore, home is so important to me.
