What my Home means to Me

Home is a Home for everyone, but in my home I have special people and special things. My sister sometimes ruins my stuff but she says sorry afterwards. My brother is 1 year old, and he’s very fun to play with. He is adorable, but sometimes he can be silly. I really adore them and am very grateful to have them as my siblings. My parents go to work everyday, but we have our Grandmother to take care of us when they're gone. When I come back from school my mother cooks my favorite filipino food sinigang. It’s like soup. When my dad comes home he tastes my mom's cooking and if it doesn’t taste like what I wanted it to be, he seasons it so it does. My Home has a roof and walls to protect us, so any cold or rainy day we feel safe. My family has many special things, and I have a lot of precious possessions in our house. I have my favorite teddy that I got for my 8th birthday, and my necklace that came with a mother & daughter bracelet at Christmas. They are my favorite things and I would never give them to anyone. My Home also has some sad moments. Sometimes when I do something wrong my mom says it's ok but my dad said no, it’s not ok. They might get into a fight but the next day they forget about it and forget it ever happened. The feelings in my Home are Love, Comfort, Kindness, Honesty and mostly Joy. Everybody deserves a Home, not just me. That is why I hope to do something very good for my community.
