Meaning of Home

Home is not just a place I sleep in at night, home is not just a shelter on rainy days. Home is family, home is relaxing, home is happiness. Home is that feeling I get when you come home from a long day of school and see family. Home is my Mom and I doing our nails together. Home is my brothers and I playing hockey games in our backyard or going dirt biking together. Home is when my Dad and I make dinner together. Home is when we have board game night. Home Is Family. Home is that feeling I get when I come home from a long trip and plop on the couch and everyone's chaotic but I am relaxed. Home is having a calm night watching a movie or cuddling. Home is when my dog comes up to me and slobbers all over my face. Home is my youngest brother comes to me and asks for help. Home is where we all get along. Home is where I feel the most relaxed. Home is when I come home from a hard day at school and the comfort of the home brings me happiness. I feel happy when I come home and see all the familiar faces and objects or when I am home in my pjs and just feel happy to have a place to relax and be myself. Home is where I feel the most happy. I hope that children and families get to have a shelter and a home to live in and experience the amazing qualities of home. I really love that Habitat for Humanity is helping family in need of a home.
