My true meaning of home

Home isn’t about watching tv, playing video games or snacking. Home is about what we feel. Seeing my mom make amazing borscht makes me feel at home. Seeing my baby sister playfully fight with my dog makes me feel at home. Feeling belonging and cared about makes me feel at home. It is not just the happy parts that make me feel at home, it's the sad parts too. Seeing my parents argue, my brother sick and feeling depressed all make me feel at home. Memories make me feel at home also. Memories of my hyper sister coming home for the first time makes me feel at home. Memories of me and my family playing Monopoly and other exciting board games make me feel at home. Memories of trick or treating for the first time and for all the delightful candy make me feel at home. Big or small, fun or boring, all of these feelings make me feel at home. Home is also about sensing. When I see my dog come home. When I hear the teapot ringing with delicious tea. When I taste my mother's surprising plov. All of these beautiful senses make me feel at home. Bad senses make me feel both sad and at home. Seeing long centipedes, tasting spoiled food, and hearing the terrifying fire alarm. All of these horrid and disliked senses still make me feel at home. Some extremely important objects make me feel at home. My memorable multi picture frame. My toys that have been with me since my birth. My mothers gorgeous flower vase i made for her on Mother's day. As you can tell, home is a place where you can sprout your roots without worrying about removing them. Let's make sure everyone gets one.
