Home

The meaning of home can be different for so many people. Home isn’t just a place, it’s a feeling inside of you. Home is being loved or loving someone else, it’s being together with your friends and family and feeling safe. Home is being loved and loving someone else and being with the people you care about. Home’s cherishing those special people in your life and feeling so much joy you could burst with happiness. To me it's feeling love and happiness that makes your one and true home. My home is my family and friends. Home is where my mom makes a bad joke just to cheer me up. Home is when my dad tickles me so hard I feel like I can’t stop laughing. Home means seeing your puppy grow up into a goofy young dog. Seeing your little cousin grow up into a trouble-making toddler feels so amazing to watch them start to grow. Home is feeling well, home. Home is where your family and friends are ,no matter where you are or where you go . Your home can’t just be where you're loved and where your family is, it must be safe. Being safe is so important to being home. My home is also safe and a lot of people don’t have that. I have a roof over my head, a sense of security and people who look out for me. I know that I am safe in my home. I love my home, but unfortunately for some, not everyone has a home. Habitat for Humanity is taking it one step at a time building homes for people who are in need. They are helping give people the opportunity to be safe and happy in their home. I, for one, think that is amazing!
