Home

Home Not everyone has a home, So this is why I'm writing this poem. And by the time I’m finished, I hope a family has a home to be cherished. A home is not a building, It's just where your family is living. When your family is there, You will have memories to make and share. Lots of people need roofs over their heads, Some need places to sleep in with beds. Lots of people need food to cook, Some need to learn by reading books. In my home there is me, My parents, sister and brother, we are a family. I can play with my siblings or friends, Until our house has an end. When my parents go to work, My siblings and I go to school. But In the summertime, We run around and find ways to keep cool. My home is where I learned to talk, to walk, And learned to put on my socks. A home can be a house, Small or big or one fit for a mouse. A one in a town or a city, One for a dog or a fish or a kitty. Not everyone has a home, So this is why I'm writing this poem. And by the time I’m finished, I hope a family has a home to be cherished.
