Home: A powerful word

There are many people out there who haven’t stopped to think about what home means, and many who can’t find out. This essay describes home and what it means. So, a home isn’t just where someone lives. It’s also a shelter against nature’s elements. But a shelter, a hotel, even a car could do that, but those aren’t homes. A home is inhabited by people you're comfortable living with. It’s also a place you can make the rules in, and a safe place for your items. It makes you happy, safe, loved, and comfortable in a place where family and friends live with you. Homes also give an ideal place to store your memories. Even if a house gets wiped out by a tornado, hurricane, flood, or fire, it can be rebuilt. But it only becomes a home again when families and friends are happy and comfortable living in it again. Would you say a park bench or a car was your home? I don’t think so because if you remember what I wrote in the first paragraph, it says clearly that cars, shelters, or hotels aren’t homes. I hope you got my idea in this essay.
