Our Home A home can be made of sticks and mud Or great big blocks of snow. A home can be twenty stories tall Or in the ground below. A home can have a mill above Or a chimney on its side. A home can be where you’re safe and sound Or with family and friends. A home can be where you have your heart and all .that you adore. When we think of our home, it always seems to make a smile, for it really is a part of what makes our life worthwhile. It is where we can find comfort at the end of a long day. It’s the familiar sounds that lull us to sleep at night. The way the sun streams through the windows. It’s the smell of cookies baking, the cheerful doorbell ring. The holidays that come and go. Our home is a place where we find hope. Somewhere we gather strength when we get hurt. It’s a place of joyous laughter, and sometimes one of the tears. A treasure chest collects all the memories that we had. But what truly makes our home such a wonderful place to be, Is the love we share here as a family.
