The Meaning of Home

Home is more than just walls, floor and a roof. It's filled with love, safety and a place to relax and to find comfort every day. To come home can mean a lot more than opening a door and going in. A lot of people can pull into a driveway, and walk on in through the front door but there are a lot of people that can't just walk through a doorway to a home that is warm and safe from the outdoors. Never will I ever feel unsafe at home. Eating, celebrating, and having fun are all things I do at home. The word home means a place that’s safe for me to stay. It means a place where you can stay in and you will be protected from stormy weather and other bad things. They say home is where the heart is but there is more than my heart in my home. Home has gifts in the walls, happiness on the floorboards and love in the kitchen. I feel freedom at home like I can do anything I like to do. I can cook. I can play. I can have fun with my family. Home isn't just cement ,bricks and wood. It is love and family. If these walls could talk it would take months for them to say all of it, and just their point of view. It doesn’t matter if your home is perfect. We all have our differences but no matter what, we all love our home and the people in it .Home is somewhere or anywhere you feel safe or comfortable and cozy. My home is very special to me because it is the most important place in my life.
