Home of Mine

A house can be an apartment or condo or a building of some sort. A home is much more than that. A home is a feeling, where you can go and no one will judge you. A home does not have to be perfect. It just has to be special for you. A home is somewhere you can be clean, messy, sad, mad, happy. You can cry and smile, but most importantly, you can be loved and appreciated by family and friends. You feel safe inside your home. Whether its a thunderstorm or a blizzard you still feel safe because you're at home! You can sleep, you can dream, hope, wish, celebrate, and pray! Even a home has problems but they are always solved one way or another. At home you can be loud of quiet. At home you have the right to speak and listen. A home is a place where you feel welcome every time you walk through the front door. Whether your home is new or old, you should always feel free inside it. A home is somewhere you can store your memories. Sad ones, happy ones, even bad ones; their all important enough to be remembered. I am very grateful I have a home because many people in the world don't. It's very sad. It makes me happy to see the people are helping build homes for families because everybody deserves a home. People around the world have very different homes! But all homes are wonderful, beautiful, and safe. That's what a home means to me.
