What Home Means to Me

Houses are places that have four walls and a roof, it's just a building. A home is much more than that. It is people and their feelings inside. It might be small or a million dollar mansion. It could be a hundred kilometers away on a different continent and it can still be a home. What makes it a home is that it has love, cheer, peace, comfort and feelings of being safe. Our home is filled with our dreams, love and happiness. We laugh and cry together in our home. Everyone should realize how lucky we are to have a home because not all people have one. We live like there is no homeless but they are many people who don't have homes. It could be gone in a flash as we don't always know what life will bring. For some people who lose their homes, they also lose their comfort, safety and peace. I hope that all people can feel the safety and love when we work together to help each other. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making dreams come true. That is what home means to me.
